Getting there: the article below outlines this island's usual ferry and flight routes. Timetables change with the season and sailings are cancelled in rough weather — always confirm the current schedule with the operator or the municipality before you travel.
It's located north of the Inland Island in Okinawa, ZXXQQQ209X.
Overview
A population of 346 and a family of 163. The area is 3.17 square kilometers. It's a circular structure seven and a half kilometers around, with a highest point of 107 meters, surrounding the Lagoon and open ocean. There are three settlements in the village, upper and lower, and there is a district chief in charge. As for the water that lives on, from 1975 to 1976, there was a sub-sea water drain built from Honjima (now home from Yon village). (As for agricultural water supply, there's been a burst of water in the water supply that's added to the old Tohoku Bridge.)
History
In the 1970's, there were electrical and industrial infrastructures on the island starting in the 1960s, from the bottom of the ocean to the bottom of the sea, electricity and water supplies, easy water and irrigation water reservoirs, in the 1980s, public and island roads, fishing ports and water - processing facilities were built in the 1990s, and in the 2000s, the building of public buildings and roads and old bridges was done.
Industrial
In spite of the long-growing, semifamilies, which grow crops such as corn, red potatoes, and sea-fishing, farmers are living off the coast, with the problem of aging and profitability, with the decline of the sea, with the decline of the fish, with the lack of fish, and with the low cost of hard management. Even though there are new entrances to the processing and retail trade after the opening of the Great Bridge, the existing ones have fallen and disappeared.
Education
I'm home right now. Although it was a subsidiary school until 2003, it was only in elementary school from 2004 to 2012 because of the integration of central and central schools in the village. With the closing of the school, junior high school students on this island are now attending home school in Okinawa, in Honjima.
Road
The Great Bridge was completed in February 2005 and was tied in with Oshima, the city's principal city. The regular tourist bus run by Okinawan Saobus has a course that contains Kouri Island. A long-run express bus now connects the Honjima and Kouri Island on the XXQ4X on the Gondo Village.
Ship
In 1911, the Honjima transport started in 1911 and went to the completion of the old bridge in 2005.
