It's about 15 kilometers south of Sakura Bay.

Surface

The area: 540 km. The population: 625. Old age rate: 68.1%. It's the largest island in Kazushima, established in 2019 as Japan's legacy. However, as inhabited island in Japan, we are in a small category. There are ports on the north side of the island and at the east side of the port of Oura, and a settlement is formed around the harbor. The bedrock on the island comes from the granite of the mid-life era, and the stone that comes from the island is passed by the brand name of the Northwood Stone. The quarry, called the Cemetery, is dug underground in search of fine stones and shows the view of Lake Kashiji, such as a gallery with water in it when it stops mining.

History

Three old ducks exist on the high hill where the sea can be seen, so it seems that people lived from the old days. The Manabeshima, written in the year 1453, says "England Island" in the zXQ083X in the southeast, but the document that is thought to be the end of the war is written as "Nutogi," and it was inhabited by the family of Mr. Kajika. Since 1619, Edo period has been the domain of Fukuyama Mizuno, but since 1698 it has been a consecration. The Kitagi Island is considered to be about 244 stones in the 1834 Home Office of the Edo period. But in Edo's field book, the country's fields were low in rank, and the island's economy depended on fishing.

Kitagi Island as an island of stone

The islands of the Inland Sea, including Kitagi Island, produce fine granite. It was built after the Edo order destroyed his subjects, and the boulders from Osaka's stone walls were cut out of XXQ 886X and so on. It is estimated that in order to build this Osaka castle, Kitagi Island also brought in stone blocks. In the latter part of the Edo period, in 1863, we supplied the stone blocks of the "Westmiya Platform" built to protect Kyoto from invasion of another country. In 1879, I received a tablet from the Yokohama Golden Bank, and in 1896, a Japanese banking factory using a Kitagi Island stone was built, and the name of the Northwood Stone was spread as a building stone. In 1932, a large birdhouse and a boulder lamp chest were set up. During the period leading up to World War II, the stone industry went down to the first place, but it also developed significantly during the post-war recovery and economic growth. During its heyday, in 1957, there were 177 knifehouses for mining granite. Later, pressed on cheap imports from China, stone production was reduced, and there were 1727 quarryers in their peak season, the knife shop was reduced to two by 2024. There's a "Noki Stone Room" in the island's Northwood High School, and there's a collection and display of machine tools used in a sample of granite stone and in an old rickshaw shop. In time, the tools used from Akii to the latter part of Japan were registered to the registered folk cultural goods in 2014. In each case, "Kitagi Island quarry and stone quarries" was identified by the "Obey Brand" with a high quality of good materials and technology. In April 2017, a private company quarry was set up with landscapes, such as grinding rocks, and a platform to look down to the valley floor about 70 meters below.

Industrial

The island produces a very fine granite called Noki Stone, and it is such that it is such a great stone that it has been built, such as the castle of Osaka and Fukuyama, the stone walls of Fukuyama, the Miyaji's bridge, and the great birdhouse of the Miyagi. Now, the methods of harvesting rocks and "screws" are used to break volcanic rocks into powdered powder, and in them are made of dried dried fish. The oyster of Kitagi Island describes it as "joyful and happy" and is named "Yujiwa" Like "Success Fish," you might say, "Success in life." In fact, "Kyoto" changes names according to their growth. It's from November to March, and it's the same time as various celebrations.

In Kitagi Island, the nearby granite has been affected by water, and the iron in the rock has been oxidized and turned red. There is a fresh flowerstone that is not oxidized beneath the ruststone and continues deep into the ground. At the Kitagi Island showroom, he dug deep into the ground looking for fine white granite, and he dug in a number of sea level ratios - couples of meters. In the kitchen where the mining was finished, there is still a pond of water in the deep hole that has been carved vertically.
